FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH FAMILY LIFE CENTER

WACO, TEXAS

Designed to blend with the architecture of the existing campus, this facility includes a composition shingle roof and masonry exterior. The interior encompasses a multi-use assembly space designed to accommodate banquets, worship, and youth sports activities. The interior walls are constructed with acoustical masonry. Storage, restrooms with showers and a warming kitchen are included. The project also included the construction of a Prayer Chapel to double as a choir room, renovation of the original church space for use as a multi-purpose worship space, construction of a family life center, and expansion of existing lobby spaces. The project was successfully designed on a very tight site as well as keeping the church in operation during construction.
